I was so sorry to hear of Johns passing. I have very happy memories of working with him on the boats at Torre Abbey sands in the mid 80's. My condolences to the family.

Being a sailor himself John supported the RNLI and the amazing work they do to keep those at sea safe.
Wonderful memories of a much loved cousin who took me under his wing and helped to keep me out of trouble.

As a teen employee for Lawrence on Torre Abbey in the early seventies, I remember John as tough chappie ! Later in life when we overlapped at BCSC he was a lot more mellow. Condolences to the family and our best wishes at this sad time.
